What does a
“Learning Systems Consultant” do?
A Learning Systems Consultant helps you
to outsource the training requirements for which you might not be
prepared to deliver in-house.
As Learning Systems Consultants, our job
is to determine if either of our two primary learning systems
partners meet your large scale corporate training needs, bring you
and those partners together and act as the single point of contact
to oversee the relationship.
Your situation may require only one
training partner, or both partners to fulfill various aspects of your
training function. For example, you may require:

needs analysis and strategic planning
assistance,

help with establishing baseline
competency measures,

course design and development,
-
a customized learning management
system (LMS),

audio and video production expertise,
-
assistance in locating subject matter
experts,

someone to recruit, hire and train the
trainers,

someone to administer the marketing
and enrollment process,

How much does it cost to
use QGS?
It costs you nothing!
Our arrangements are with our partners; we are paid by them to
represent them to the client in a partnership capacity.

Does QGS sell training
courses?
No. QGS does not sell courses or
training, we work with our two primary partners to assist our clients in
creating and implementing their own large scale, in-house training
program.

Does QGS participate in the actual delivery of the services?
Sometimes, yes.
We have a very close working
relationship with our partners. On occasion,
they will engage us to participate in some of the functions for
which we are qualified.

Do we
pay QGS or do we pay the partners directly?
Your contracts are with our partners,
so your company pays the partners as you would under any other
circumstances.
Our arrangement is with our partners
and we are paid a retainer by them to provide the single point of
contact between you and them.

What size of company
would use QGS?
Our clients are generally organizations
who need to create and deploy a training initiative or
apprenticeship program on a national or international scale.
So the question is not so much the size of the company as it is the
size of the project.
For example, if you are researching which is the best
Microsoft Excel course on which to send your 4 staff members, QGS
would not be a suitable match. If, on the other hand, your
objective is to create customized training content, possibly with
high-end video production, and deploy that content using a learning
management system on an on-going basis, now we may be able to offer
some value.
Similarly, if your organization has an
in-house training program which needs to be made current, converted
to interactive computer based training (CBT) or web based training (WBT),
we have software that you can purchase and/or people you can engage
to assist you in this process.

Does
QGS specialize in any specific type of training?
No. Whatever type of training you
require, our partners can likely accommodate you, whether it's
sales training, management training, technical training or software
training. Whether it's live instructor lead programs,
interactive computer based training (CBT) or web based training, we
have access to expertise which can design, build and implement the
program that best suits your needs.
